Beytullah Sarıcan: has nearly 20 years of experience in overall policy, regulatory compliance, administration, and financial sector operations worldwide with an emphasis on advisory and technical expertise support. He works with major Multinational Companies, Governments, and the World Bank, IMF, UN, OECD, and leads the work of the M Group on tax, customs, risk management, audit, and banking sector and other financial sector; he also works on ICT, business solutions, data analytics, software and system development for the banking sector and governments. Beytullah`s experience ranges from making assessments of system and administration efficiency with his expertise, advising on development and implementation of a wide range of data-driven solutions to appropriate information technology to enhance overall efficiency. His skills include analytics software (Oracle, Vision, Draw.io, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Audit Apps (IDEA, CAATs, ACL), Nvivo Note, Database Apps (MS Access, LaTeX, and Bloomberg), developing ICT systems, integrated administrative tax management system, risk management, and auditing as well as practical on-site trainings.
He graduated from Columbia University in the city of New York with a master`s degree in International Finance and Public Administration. He also completed his Master of Science degree in fiscal law from Istanbul University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Istanbul University in Turkey. A former Tax Inspector with the Turkish Ministry of Finance, where he started and received his professional extensive tax, law, audit, fraud, and AML training. Certified by IMF as a “Lead” TADAT Assessor – (Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool) qualified to assess the strengths and limitations of tax administration operations worldwide.
In addition to the global support to all regions with advisory services to countries, worked with a diverse group of policy makers and administrators, Beytullah has extensive experience with long term assignments in the United States, Turkey, Angola, Kenya, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Mozambique, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Senegal, Moldova, Georgia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He is currently based in Washington D.C.
